چکیده
This study compares the performance of nanofiltration (NF) and reverse osmosis (RO) for reclamation ultrafiltered municipal wastewater irrigation food crops. RO NF technologies were evaluated at different applied pressures; each technology was in terms water flux, recovery rate, specific energy consumption quality permeate. It found that permeate from process complied with Food Agriculture Organization (FAO) standards pressures between 10 18 bar. At an pressure 20 bar, did not comply chloride, sodium calcium concentration. suitable as concentration exceeded allowable limits all pressures. In process, highest rate 36%, which achieved a 16 The this 0.56 kWh/m3. lowest 0.46 kWh/m3 12 bar 32.7%.

متن کاملDsorption of estrone on nanofiltration and reverse osmosis membranes in water and wastewater treatment.
Adsorption of the trace contaminant estrone, a natural hormone and commonly abundant in surface waters and in treated as well as untreated wastewaters, to eight commercial nanofiltration and reverse osmosis membranes was investigated under well defined conditions. Experiments were conducted in stainless steel stirred cells by spiking trace levels (100 ng x L(-1)) of estrone into five different ...

Currently, biological method has been utilized in the treatment of wastewater -containing synthetic dyes used by textile industries in Iraq. The present work was devoted to study the operating feasibility using reverse osmosis (RO) and nanofiltration (NF) membrane systems as an alternative treatment method of wastewater discharged from Iraqi textile mills. Acid red, reactive black and reactive ...
متن کاملMunicipal Wastewater Irrigation for Rice Cultivation
In scene of worrisome water shortage, municipal wastewater has been gradually accepted as an alternative water resource containing important nutrients for irrigation. Rice cul‐ tivation, which is one of the main crops feeding global population and requires plenty of water for its effective growth, has been often irrigated by municipal wastewater in many countries. While irrigation of municipal ...

The use of non-conventional water resources including treated municipal wastewater has been increasing in the Mediterranean regions over the last decades to cope with water shortages and uneven rainfalls due to climate change. The aim of this paper is to present the first results from two years of experimental field activities carried out in two different demo-places in Southern Italy: the muni...
